St. John Ambulance Advanced Medical First Responder (MFR) volunteers attend countless public events across York Region, Ontario to provide basic and advanced first aid when emergencies occur. Our volunteers provide first response casualty care necessary to save a life, prevent  further injury or provide comfort until emergency medical assistance arrives.

St. John Ambulance, through York Region Branch, is bringing awareness that gum balls and hard candy could be a choking hazard to children and giving away a General Purpose FIRST AID KIT valued at $19.95 for two lucky winners who guess the correct amount! You can enter using our contest QR CODE, through a posted LINK or by BALLOT at one of our York Region local events! The winners will be emailed directly and announced on JULY 15th and AUGUST 15th, 2022 with their FIRST NAME shared on our SJA York Region social media accounts. 

Participants must be residence of York Region, Ontario to qualify and a max limit of 3 guesses per contest, per month.

St. John Ambulance's Youth Programs are structured health-oriented programs that provides young people with opportunities for social, educational and personal development through training, local community volunteering service, leisure activities and participation at special events. Activities include First Aid, Health Care training, community service, camping and recreational events.

Improving lives on a daily basis, St. John Ambulance THERAPY DOG Program brings joy and comfort to the sick, lonely and to those in need of a friendly visit. This community service is unique to St. John Ambulance Canada and is delivered by Therapy Dog teams who visit hospitals, retirement residences, care facilities, schools, and universities. Our four-legged volunteers are always greatly appreciated.
